Experimental and Computational Analysis of Aluminum-Coated Dimple and Plain Tubes in Solar Water Heater System

Solar power is often regarded as one of the most promising forms alternative energy since it both sustainable and renewable. It difficult to utilize benefit from solar in residential industrial applications because intermittent nature its supply. A solar-based water heating system efficient for using thermal conversion, simplest successful method turning into energy. In this research, performance analysis Parabolic Trough Collectors (PTSCs) with aluminum-coated copper dimple tubes was computationally experimentally analyzed. For computational analysis, a Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) tool used. experimental were used pass base fluid (water) while varying mass flow rate 1.0 3.0 kg/min at steps 0.5 examine effect texturing aluminum coating on heater. The parameters, such efficiency, friction factor, convective heat transfer coefficient, Nusselt number, effectiveness PTSC, analyzed, we found remarkable improvement towards high conversion efficiency. At 2.5 kg/min, efficiency improved by about 36%, factor increased 0.32%, coefficient 1150 W/m2K, number 53.8 enhanced 0.4. simulation results compared results, deviation ±3.8%, which may be due an error instrument well environmental conditions during analysis. outcome can real-life domestic especially, places exposed low radiation intensity throughout year.
